Asked the former actress Maria Shriver, the wife of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, divorce Friday after weeks of recognition of her husband's paternity of a child begotten of an illicit relationship with a maid in their home, according to a source in a court of Los Angeles.

The source said that Shriver says in the request made by the divorce that they have "differences can not be repaired" with her husband, who she met in 1977 and married in 1986.

And Shriver, a niece of the late U.S. President John F. Kennedy, requested in the divorce papers from the court for joint custody of minors Oldehma Patrick (17 years) and Christopher (13 years), and asked her husband to pay court costs and the expense of food.

The Hoarzenger, 63, admitted in mid-May in a statement that he fathered a secret child of an illicit relationship with one of the maids of his home, and in justifying the reason for the separation of his wife with him and who had been officially announced just days before that.

He said Schwarzenegger, who left last January his post as governor of California, said in a statement sent to the Los Angeles Times, "after I left office as governor, I spoke with my wife about this, which is due to more than a decade."

"I know and deserved the anger and disappointment to my friends and my family. No excuses for me and I take full responsibility for the pain it caused."

The maid Mildred Baena said in an interview in June that it did not realize that Schwarzenegger is the father of her child, Joseph, but after the child grew and became like his father more and more.

Baena said that Maria Shriver was a suspect in the matter At one point I asked her directly about the issue admitted her about it, the news was signed by Maria thunderbolt exploded in tears.
